However, its excessive use may cause or lead to environmental problems. Therefore, technologies capable of monitoring and measure levels of nitrogen in agricultural soil in-situ and in real time are required in order to make efficient the use of fertilizers. Nitrogen levels are usually measured by direct and indirect methods. Direct methods can be conducted in-situ or in laboratory, but they are really expensive and/or little resistant to soil conditions. -

;Bustamante M. ;Vega-Centeno R. ;Sánchez M.Mio R.The widespread of 3D-printing technology has resulted in the appearance of many open-source prosthetic hand models, especially for partial hand amputations. However, most of these designs are not editable and while some are parametric to some degree, customization for every user is limited to scaling the size of a base design. As consequence, most prostheses fail to closely match the user specific anthropometry and have poor aesthetics, which could result in abandonment of the device. Furthermore, achieving a high degree of customization could be a time-consuming task and requires previous knowledge of CAD design. This work presents a prosthetic hand easy to customize by changing parametric dimensions of the finger phalanges and palm on an Excel sheet. Additionally, the design tackles common issues from previous 3D-printed body-powered prosthetic hands by incorporating new features such as the use of linkages instead of cables as finger flexors and a new cable-adjusting system which requires no additional tools and makes the tensioning of finger tendons easier and quicker. -

Because of that the mariculture activity of the towns and cities located in that estuary are significantly affected (which is the basis of their economy). Recent field measurements indicate that the nitrate concentrations are related to the suspended sediment concentrations whereas the chlorine distribution is directly associated with the flow recirculation patterns. In order to shed light on the transport dynamics of these contaminants a two-dimensional shallow water equations numerical model that can predict suspended sediment transport and flow recirculation was developed. -

Recent studies promote the use of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with hashing techniques to improve the search accuracy. -

Lung ultrasound echography has proved to be an important tool to detect lung consolidates as evidence of pneumonia. The use of ultrasound to detect pneumonia is limited by the image analysis for interpretation, which is carried by human experts. Pattern recognition and image analysis is a potential tool to facilitate recognition of pneumonia consolidates in absence of medical experts for automatic diagnostics. To perform an automatic analysis of lung ultrasound images for pneumonia detection, the noise introduced by the image portion of the skin, notably complicates the processing and interpretation. This paper presents a methodology to recognize and eliminate the portion of the skin in lung ultrasound images. -

;Cayo E.H. ;Tejada E.P.Falcon V.C.The present paper is part of a larger project which aims to monitor and mitigate dust on the PV systems in the city of Arequipa. Its objective is to present a simplified model for simulating PV panels for the design and project maximum power point tracker - MPPT controllers. With an experimental setup, signals of voltage, current, power, irradiance and temperature were acquired. A SEPIC converter that can be controlled electronically was simulated and implemented for using it as variable load. The PV model identified was subject to simulation considering variations of temperature and irradiance. Through these simulation, a MPP voltage set point function was identified. Finally a PI controller was implemented for MPPT system to simulate the identified PV model. -

Hoy en día se tiende que el campo esté conectado a la red y muchas empresas agropecuarias están sufriendo un gran cambio en sus procesos, actividad comercial y agronegocio. En este sentido la tecnología agropecuaria, hace mención a los conocimientos, las técnicas y los artefactos que permiten la utilización de elementos tecnológicos en las tareas ganaderas y agrícolas. Sin embargo, en nuestro país aún existe dependencia tecnológica foránea que muchas veces hace que la adquisición, reparación y mantenimiento de equipos, productos o servicios sean onerosos y por ende muchas veces imposible de obtenerlas. Por este y otros motivos en la empresa MAXCORP se han realizado y se realizan diversas innovaciones tecnológicas agropecuarias entre los que tenemos a el MOSIVILLe, que sirve para monitorizar signos vitales, el FIBER EC, para evaluar la calidad de la fibra y el MEDULOMETRO, para evaluar la calidad de la fibra por tipo de medulación. Estos equipos pasaron por respectivos procesos de validación, habiéndose realizado publicaciones científicas, trabajos tesis y diversos trabajos de investigación en diversas instituciones científicas y académicas. Asimismo, se encuentran en el mercado siendo nuestros principales clientes las universidades, institutos de investigación y empresas. -

This type of problem is called multi-label classification. In this paper, we propose the use of latent semantic indexing to text representation, convolutional neural networks to feature extraction and a single multi layer perceptron for multi-label classification in real text data. The experiments show that the model outperforms state of the art techniques when the dataset has long documents, and we observe that the precision is poor when the size of the texts is small. -

This paper implements a new model for tele-ultrasound (US) based on volumetric sweep imaging protocols specially designed for the acquisition of US. Non-physician health personnel from the RA are trained on the use of these protocols in a few days. The operator utilizes the medical box (MB), a specially designed telecommunication system, to guide, compress, encrypt and transmit the US sweeps through the cloud to the radiologist who performs the diagnosis remotely. The report is automatically sent back to the MB. The system was able to send US volumetric images with poor connectivity conditions in 6 minutes on average. These results of implementing this tele-ultrasound model in RAs are encouraging and support future validations. -

The criterion of optimum sample thickness is rather well known in the Mössbauer community. In this work we emphasize the criteria for optimum saturation level due to dead time and optimum window configuration in the gamma detection system. -

The procedure of the distance estimation from simple images is important to find the depth measurements in any procedure of three-dimensional reconstruction of scenes. In this work, we describe an adaptation of a scanner prototype based on a laser pointer and a webcam. -

The samples were characterized by N2-sorption (SBET), X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Boehm titration, scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.
